Psychotherapy sessions are often covered in part by your insurance company.

You can contact your insurance company for details about your out-of-network benefits for mental health coverage.

Payment for Services

Payment is due at time of session unless another payment plan has been arranged in advance.  Clients can submit fees with cash, check or PayPal.  You have the option to request an itemized receipt of services at the end of each month, which you may submit to your insurance company.

Questions for your Insurance Company

Things to gather before you call:

• Insurance card
• Name, DOB, address, phone number, and possibly social security number of the cardholder or person for whom the services are for
• Pen and paper

Some questions to ask when calling your insurance company about using your out-of-network benefits for counseling.  Give yourself about 20 minutes or so to make the call.  

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits that cover out-of-network services?
• Is there a deductible?  If so, how much has been met?
• Is there a session limit?
• Is prior authorization required before sessions with a therapist?  (If so, please have that information before our first appointment).
• What credentials does my therapist need to be eligible for reimbursement?  (I am an LPCC-S or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision credentials).
• What are the requirements to use out-of-network benefits and submit for reimbursement?
